Internet Sources?

Information is everywhere on the Internet

There is a high volume of really great accurate information out there for you to find and even better the information is growing daily.

BUT

beware as it is only as good as the person putting the information onto the webpage and some of the information may not be accurate or even worse  misleading.

Google Searches

Just try typing a name into the google search box and you will come up with hundreds of positive searches. Whilst many will not be your person there is a chance that one response could be your man and from a source that you haven't considered.

The important advice is don't give up at the bottom of page 2 keep gong until the name no longer appears- You never know what you will find.

Links

Many family history sites have Links pages which offer you the chance to click and visit a site offering similar information.

There are a few sites that have no information but are just links pages.

The best known and most extensive of these is Cyndi's List.

Although it is US based there is a vast number of UK related data although Cyndi's List is very slow to update new links and as such is can be a little out of date.

Whilst the all links pages have a use in inspiring a new direction of search using links from sites for allied sites is usually the best option for searching.
