Print Workers Records |
|
The History The printing trade grew and grew following the industrialisation of the UK and the growing capacity of the population to read. Printing used high levels of manpower and many capacities. What records can you find? The modern records centre at Warwick University maintain the archives of trade union records including the various printers unions. A personal visit or hiring a researcher would be required as the records are not yet online. * County Records Office and Local Museums both hold records of relevant firms and individuals. Searches should be made firstly by the individual persons name, then by the firms name and lastly by the trade.
